The Pouch Concept

During a trip to India, The Green Drinks Company founder Adam Green had his 'eureka moment' and realised how flexible packs filled with healthy drinks in vending machines could work...

He had looked at the vending industry and been struck by how labour intensive and environmentally damaging it was to distribute and vend bottled water and soft drinks.

Inspiration came after from witnessing street vendors in India selling water in plastic bags to people who could not afford bottled water.

"Good for you. Good for the planet"

Having taken the first steps to patent the concept and seeing the potential for the opportunity, he left his job in the City in 2004 and  founded The Green Drinks Company as a company dedicated to developing a new approach to cold drinks vending.

Making it happen

Over the next year or so, The Green Drinks Company was joined by Geoff Read, founder of Ballygowan Water, Steven Jenkins, ex Mars Drinks, Ian Bidmead, ex Crane Merchandising Systems and IMI Cornelius, and Chris Craven, ex Sanden Vendo. Today the company has a team of experienced managers with extensive experience in vending and soft drinks industry. The Green Drinks Company | Pouch Machine
